LOVE this girl!
Finally, it’s Allison’s turn! Lindsey Parker interviews our beloved Allison Iraheta! Lindsey likes that Allison is the anti-Miley Cyrus, and that Allison was signed to 19 Entertainment/Jive records!!!! We are psyched to hear that she’ll be doing a rocked-out album. Watch the video to hear her talk about that and the upcoming Idols summer tour!

To go with his new album “Leave This Town”, Chris Daughtry performed this acoustic version of Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” at RADIOHAMBURG in Germany. Awesome!

Time for the Idol concert, y'all!
What’s going on in Idol land these days? It’s been fairly quiet except perhaps for the Season 8 alumni getting ready for their summer tour!
The tour will start in a few days in Portland, OR this weekend, July 5th. So who’s attending? I’m skipping this year’s show (I’ve chosen to attend only those Idol concerts featuring past male winners except the current one) because I haven’t been that excited about the crop of contestants this year. No, not even with Adam Lambert in the group either. Read More

Brandon Rogers tweeted: "This is but an example of the ridiculousness that is The LA Idol auditions. Behold!"
Remember the crying girl from Season 6 who earned a primo seat and too much camera time bawling for Sanjaya’s performance? Well, she’s back, and she’s 16… old enough to audition for Idol. Whether she’s cashing in on some more screen time or she’s really got some pipes, she auditioned today at Pasadena’s Rose Bowl for American Idol season 9.

David Cook pays tribute to Michael Jackson with his acoustic version of Billie Jean!
Adam Lambert and Kris Allen got some time in 20/20’s recent special on Michael Jackson. During a focus of Jackson’s inspiration to a younger crowd, the Idols were featured talking about how they had personally been affected by his music. Kris admits to knowing all his songs as a kid, and Adam talks about how Jackson had a very different, unique approach to not only music, but his race and sexuality as well. Adam talks about how Jackson was “in the middle,” not quick to jump into any specific camps, and how his music pushed all boundaries as well.

Carly Smithson
One of the reasons I absolutely loved American Idol Season 7 was because I really resonated with almost all of the contestants featured during that year. I’m fond of most of the past Season 7 contestants and the music they stood for and I think I know why. There was a relatively heavier rock influence last year that wasn’t there during other seasons (though it’s soft rock in the big scheme of things) thanks to performers like David Cook, Michael Johns and Carly Smithson. And it’s the way I like my music. Read More

"Peace" and "Love" y'all... but only for those who think like me!
So earlier this year, American Idol ended its 8th season. Despite the fact that Kris Allen won the whole thing, Adam Lambert has really stolen the show. Oh yeah, and then there was that lame-o who somehow edged his way into 3rd place. (Still wondering how that happened…) Anyway, after the dust cleared and everyone was making a big issue out of Adam’s sexuality, I heard that Danny Gokey had also made somewhat of an “issue” of his own about it. Yeah, turns out his glasses weren’t giving him enough attention!

Arkansas' Hero!!!
Here’s a video of Kris Allen’s interview with Lindsey Parker of Yahoo! Music.
The whole first part is about Kris’ humility and how it is a big differentiation between him and Adam. Kris hasn’t had the wave of public attention that Adam has had, and he likes it that way. It’s cool that he won, and as they point out in the interview, it almost makes it like there were two winners. Adam won in many ways, and in 1st place, Kris is the American Idol but has gotten way less attention. Read More

Adam's "No Boundaries" single...yawn...I hope we go gaga over his Queen-inspired debut album!
Ever since I first saw Lady Gaga in last season’s American Idol results show, I was enthralled by this artist. I think she’s one of those polarizing singers whom you’ll either love or hate, depending on your musical taste. Read More

Simon, Kara, Paula, and Randy pretend to like each other.
This is probably the best news I’ve heard all day… well, no the best news was that Adam Lambert is working with Lady Gaga’s peeps, but I digress. According to Radar Online, all four judges will be back for Season 9 of American Idol. Read More
