It's been quite the ride so far... but how will it end?
If I was to sum up the trajectory of seasons 1-3 of Heroes in one word, it would be this: Rollercoaster. We’ve definitely seen some ups (Season 1), some downs (Season 3), some loop-de-loops (why won’t Ali Larter die already?), and some moments of stomach-in-your-throat nausea (Hiro in feudal Japan for waaay too long).
Heroes is coming back for its fourth - and possibly final - season on September 21st, and I just hope that this rollercoaster of a show doesn’t run off the tracks and end in a complete train wreck. Because let’s be honest, it would be horribly and inexcusably ironic for the show to fail when the name of Volume 5 is Redemption. That being said, here’s a few spoilers of what to expect from our main characters in season 4 (brought to us by Digital Spy for your reading pleasure). It’s mostly stuff we already know about, but there are a few juicy bits to check out. Do you think Heroes has what it takes to redeem itself in season 4? Read More

Heroes season 4 premiere set for September 21st!
Heroes fans, rejoice! First of all, we now know when to expect the season 4 premiere — September 21st at 8pm!!! It’s still so far away, I know, but at least we can relax and spend time planning our premiere parties
Earlier this week after the Saturn Awards, Heroes Stars Adrian Pasdar (Nathan Petrelli) and Cristine Rose (Angela Petrelli) discussed what we should expect for Season 4. Pasdar confirmed that Nathan will be redeemed this season (for being a general ass, I assume) and Rose said that there is a shocking change of plan for Angela in Episode 4-03 (”Acceptance”). Additionally, Rose confirmed that each episode will focus on fewer characters, so expect to see less of all the characters. Read More

Brian Fuller giving his happy face on the set of Heroes
WTF? Brian Fuller is quitting Heroes again? Right, because he probably has some other bullshit show to write. Last time he left Heroes (apparently due to “creative differences” with creator Tim Kring), he came up with the brilliant (read: ridonkulus) idea to write a show about some dude who could kill people or bring them back to life with the touch of a finger. And how clever, the show was called Pushing Daises. Frickin’ adorable. And lame… which is why it got cancelled after one season. Mr. Fuller has announced yet again that he’ll be leaving Heroes because he basically doesn’t have the time for it. BS alert!

Rick Worthy as Cylon Simon on Battlestar Galactica
Another actor joins the Heroes crew for season 4!
So I’ve done my best to keep track of all the new actors jumping on board for the 4th season of NBC’s Heroes (Volume 5: Redemption). So far, we know Madeline Zima and Rachel Melvin will be playing the parts of Claire’s college roommates. Partially deaf actress Deanna Bray will play the deaf love interest of one of our Heroes, and the ever-creepy Robert Knepper will play the part of a supervillain. Read More

Rachel Melvin
I already reported that Madeline Zima is set to play one of Claire Bennet’s two college roomies, and now we know who will play her other roommate: Rachel Melvin. The actress, best known for her role as Chelsea Brady on soap opera Days of Our Lives, will portray a character named Annie on season four of Heroes. The Hollywood Reporter wrote that Rachel Melvin’s character “will share sleeping quarters (and maybe more) with Claire.” Yowza.

A bloody nose! You mean time travel doesn't do a body good??
If I had to give out an award for most under-used character on Heroes, you know it would go to Hiro Nakamura (although Peter Petrelli comes in at a close second). Aside from seeing more time travel mishaps in Hiro’s immediate future, I have a feeling his bloody noses (and ears) will have some other sort of physical ramifications (maybe he loses his power again? But that would be sooo boring). Read More

Sylar doing his evil thing...
The third season of Heroes (Volume 4: Fugitives) ended with Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) being killed. For the most part. Technically, he’s “physically” dead after having his throat cut open by Sylar (Zachary Quinto). But then, when Sylar shape-shifted into Nathan, HRG and Angela convinced Matt Parkman to brainwash Sylar-as-Nathan into thinking he actually was Nathan. Whew!
Needless to say, there’s going to be some major identity crisis issues in Volume 5: Redemption. Remember how out of control things got in last season’s “I Am Sylar” episode? Where Sylar was shape-shifting so much that his DNA was changing and he didn’t know who he was, then started changing into his mother? Ya, take all that, switch the intensity meter from medium to super-high, and you’ll have an idea of how crazy “Sylathan” will be in season four. Read More

I reported yesterday that casting calls have begun for new “normal” characters in Heroes Volume 5: Redemption. One of the roles that needed to be filled was for Claire’s quirky college roommate. Read More

The current cast
Ooooh… new Heroes? Well, not exactly. But we will be seeing some new “normal” characters in Volume 5: Redemption. Not as exciting, I know. But hey, there have been rumors that we’ll see some old Heroes come back next season, so no worries! Season 4 will still be amazing.
Now, about those “normal” characters that’ll be popping up… Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly reports that casting calls have gone out for these character types to star in Volume 5: Read More
